Do you believe in resolutions for the new year ahead? do you stick to them or fall at the first weekend after January 1st?
Personally, I don't buy into the whole thing. I do acknowledge the new cycle of 12 months & I am a firm advocate of change and challenge but I don't believe in waiting for January 1st as the start date.
You can change anything about yourself any day of the year if it's needed. You can also start a new challenge mid year. So why do so many of us wait until the turn of the year to give ourselves goals ?
It is generally due to the fact that there is very little pressure upon yourself making these affirmations or promises as there is a whole 12 months ahead of you to achieve...what's the hurry? Well, the last 12 months flashed past like a blink of an eye so did you smash 2018's goals in the 12 months or do you have a "rollover" policy?
I can agree, goal setting is positive and as long as you are realistic with a fantastic mindset of strategy and self discipline then you can probably get through your goals. Let's face it, life tootles along great most of time but occasionally it can throw you a curve ball you either didn't see coming or have no idea how to deal with it & it knocks you off your access. If you are lucky enough to have a great support network, grab it & you'll get through. If you find yourself feeling alone, seek professional help to work it out.
Lets see what each day brings and get to the end of the week before we worry about 12 months.
Take care, be healthy in mind & body & be kind x
